No, not that I play futsal at all.
It was really annoying to wake up to the sound of an ongoing game on the main road (deserted) in front of my place yesterday. It was not even 6am on a Sunday morning for goodness sake!!
What irritated me further was this one gal squeaking loudly upon being surrounded by boys – woohoooo, the boys sure love that!!
Don’t their parents watch that advert on the stupid/idiot box or listen to the radio?
"Di manakah anak anda di waktu ini?"
Do I envy them? Coz they’re young? Nope!
Do I pity them? Coz they’re Dracula@pontianak@toyol@manusia-jadian thus cannot come out & play in broad daylight?
Perhaps they got kick out of the futsal court coz of the closing hour?
Perhaps they just got back from a late shift? (Nahhh, they’re way too young – when I was working the night shift at the factory, all that I wanted after 8 hours of standing is to fall flat on my bed & sleep ASAP! & wake up early the next day to do overtime (extra 4 or 8 hours of working) so that I earn more money.)
The issue here is that these youngsters of opposite sex mingle freely. I’m sure they’re Malay (& Muslim?). If they couldn’t observe proper behaviour of a normal, decent, law-abiding citizen – what would become of them, say in 1 or 5 years time? Drug addicts? Spending time in jails? Rehab? Unwanted pregnancy 9 months down the road?
It worries me…what if they’re my kids (better not be MY kids), nephews & nieces, students, neighbours’ kids, etc.?
The other day I wake up (coz I left the window open since it was stuffy) before 5am to the sound of conversation- Wah, bukan main meriah berborak pagi2 buta!! When I looked down (from level two) & there was this guy & gal sitting pillion face to face on a motorbike – what the heck were they doing?! Or not doing? (I dont have a voyeuristic tendency so I don't look carefully! Scared mah..)
It doesn’t help that the corner shop of my block is kinda like 7-eleven that open 24/7 – do they sell condoms? Liqueur? You bet that’s where they made their money from!
On a positive note, they did manage to wake me up in time for Subh prayer earlier than a normal Sunday morning’s subuh gajah (if you know what I mean).
P/s: Update on the Bazaria (9pm to 2am): they come, and they go- that's life. The earlier losers got fed-up I guess so we regain our right to the parking bay. However, a few nights later – we’ve got new loser on the block!!! Who wants to buy shoes (sport shoes, kulit-tiruan shoes or something like that) everyday??!! Pergi sewa kedai proper lah!!!
