Kembali kepada fitrah

Note to self: No blogging for the next 10 days coz..( I might died lor!)

1) ..it’s RAYA time…
2) ..& no privacy at home – don’t wanna to kantoi my blog-hopping activity esp. my ‘space’ to any members of the family coz they might sue me you know for brandishing the skeleton in the closet as my lawyer brother might said or one of my nieces who is already loyar-buruk-in-training might use this against me even though I wrote rubbish mostly..but they might get offended by the little things that I mentioned (eh-eh share la) now & then..
3) ..the connection is poor – well, what do you expect from using a prepaid..
4) ..in respect of my ‘fellow sufferers’ who came to know yesterday that they marginally failed the comprehensive exam (one out of a series of 3 5-hour exam taken after we completed our coursework by getting a CGPA of minimum 3.0 before we can officially start research & write our thesis- following the great idea from the great American universities konon (see, we’re at par with them!)-whereby chances are you’ll marginally pass or fail if not direct failure instead of getting a direct pass (never heard of in our recent history) which means their raya celebration will be significantly affected during this holiday season since the oral is scheduled for early November. Well, I’d been there & done that…(decades ago, marginal failure & went for oral & still failed & thus sat for the second (& final before you get your ass kick out) sitting & Thank Allah I passed) ..it was an experience not to be repeated again (but sadly I did for the other paper). And to this day, I still harbour in my mind some sinister things that I could do to that particular committee member’s (a new Prof at that time) car – you know things like slashing his tires or something…Hmm, I might forgive but I never forget! It’s a long story… almost déjà vu!
5) ..in respect also of my single parent sista whose younger boy has caught the chicken pox just in time for raya! I told her, sue the clinic where they went to get injection for immunization when the older boy caught it earlier this month (& had just recovered). Wonder whether they’ll balik kampong this time coz as I mentioned in the last posts we’ve got two new babies in the house aside from the other smaller ones (and the bigger kids got exam after raya - secondary & uni.)! Being a responsible parent kan…
6) ..I’m gonna be busy with my other profession as a general unpaid household cleaner aka maid aka pekerja Majlis Bandaran (the Headmistress sista is the Taskmaster whenever she’s around!). All the married ones will be around during raya but never before & even if they do, never help much with the preparations & there’s lotsa things to do. So, it’s usually up to mak (with high expectation), me & my single sister & as per normal temper will rise easily (got dramas year after year- parang je tak main – well, we’re a dysfunctional family)…it’s ok to gaduh2/perang mulut (me & that sis) coz by raya morning we’ll be asking for each other’s forgiveness eh? To the married ones – wei, ingat rumah mak ni hotel ka? Bila tegur anak2 mereka (which is also my anak buah right?), they’ll be saying, “Kau belum ada anak lagi belum tau….” i.e. let them be. So, I wonder again & again, if & when I’m married then how la…who will take care & help mak & the ‘6-rooms hotel’?
7) ..singa (aka Mak tiri juga ada la) di siang hari & ‘abid di mlm hari insyaAllah (klu tak pengsan keletihan ni)..I’ll try to maximize the utility from the last 3days of Ramadhan. Who knows whether we’re still around next year eh? MasyaAllah..

Doesn’t matter where you are (kampong or no kampong), who you’ve with you (family or sans family ter'chenta'), what you have & don’t have or whatsoever – just be thankful that we’re still given a chance to breathe in the air & join in the celebration!
