Sorry is all that I can say…
For contributing towards the heavy morning traffic just now. Really, I tried to avoid today of all days where Selangor people enjoy Nuzul Quran public holiday surely by going into town for a little of shopping excursion (since how else they were to spend the day?).
Spent half of yday in Kay-ell as well. The sky was dark & gloomy – almost like Gotham City. The air was horrid. The bus system is confusing. (I knew Kay-ell like the back of my hand before, all the way from SA to Ampang & Cheras but everything changes nowadays…)
The crowd was quite heavy for a working day – what the heck are these people doing shopping on a working day? Moi? Ada kerja ma…
Oh, need to get mak a new sandal – sorta raya gift la. Waited for the right bus after asking around but you know what to expect – it never come when you needed it most, thus LRT & a long walk was the only option..(never a taxi, coz I’m scared of being kidnapped!)
Of course, in order to get to Sogo, I had to go through Jln Masjid India. Eh! New signboard la…now it’s called Bazaar/ Jalan Melayu!! Toksah nak tipulah…bazaar Indon more like it!
Surprisingly, I couldn’t hear any of the famous lagu raya (as mentioned in radio – they started playing on air all the raya songs well before Ramadhan started instead of after 15th Ramadhan) might be because I was distracted by the sight & smell of raya goodies & paraphernalia. Oh! I need to get myself new scarf as well! Why not buy one for mak too? There goes my money…
Then the sky decided to bless us all with some drizzles from the sky..by then I was already in my shopping haven…
I so love (window-)shopping in Sogo! The atmosphere, the surrounding and whole ambience is so condusive for you to spend and spend some more…they also play the raya songs but the sound system is good & almost discreet– not blaring out so loud like you know where la.. (the crowd wasn’t as bad as Mid Valley or KLCC either so no need to berlanggar bahu, etc. - I hate it)
Oh, there’s good offer on the ground floor – the handbags & shoes are simply divine! But oh-oh, cannot buy yet..
Oh, ladies floor – mak’s sandal remember! I like that maroon shirt…that purplish skirt….that lacey blouse…that dark pants look purrfect! But NO & NO…I’m a strong-willed person! (I intend to come back later, whenever, for that maroon shirt though..)
Oh, kiddies department – my #28th niece just arrived yesterday – what more befitting a little princess than a nice, cute dress for coming raya? Oh, don’t forget my earlier one-week old niece…Might as well buy something for my best fren’s baby (any time now). Should I buy something for the other friend too? She’s due next month (since the offer is too good to be true…)
At the end of yday, wonder why I did get this empty feeling in my purse? Hahahahahah – poor student indeed…
BTW, mission accomplished. Tic ready.Visa in process.
Money goes ka-ching!! Very fast..(esp it’s a credit)

Weiii, mano nak dapek duit raya - kito dah tuo! Anak2 buah berderet2 menunggu dah ni.For the past 7 years or so, I've never miss in giving them duit raya according to their level - babies, pre-school, primary, secondary & uni- in ascending amounts. This year budget is really tight what with the trip I'll be taking after raya, my half-scholarship status, etc. But, like my friend said, "Tahan ka telinga dgn sindiran makbapak mereka & renungan syahdu masing2...", pastu sure berebut2 buat baik sbb nak dpt duit raya!
I'm still tinkering with my budget...
Ha, jz rber - there was one occasion I received d.raya bila dah tuo - I'd just started my study back in 2003-from a cousin, RM10!
Forget abt civil servants' bonuses - not even once!
