Listened to IKIM on the way back the other day (Er…bulan Ramadhan je IKIM 24/7- biasanya hopping around Lite'nEasy, Hits, Hot, THR (for Hindi Power!) & Sinar (for 80s song like Wings, Gersang, Eagle etc. sampai fehning radio tu but I digress…)
Chef Sobri was discussing the menu for the day, N.Briyani menggunakan rempah ready made Maggi (Maggi ni kan under Nestle, bukan ke kita kena boikot coz this big co supports Israel? Again, I digress..).
During the Q&A session, he said that one of the reason nasi tak jadi ialah apabila asap tengah berkepol2 keluar dari periuk nasi (lektrik tu) melalui satu lubang kecil, kita pi angkat tudung periuk! Patutnya, biarkan tudung periuk tu menari2…
Rupanya itu maksud orang2 dulu nya pantun..ingatkan menari macam MJ! That pantun was one of my earliest memory from watching drama @rtm (manade tv3 ka, astro ka)…rasanya baru msk sekolah rendah!
BTW, Cuma boleh angkat tudung bila dah takde asap berkepol keluar….

itu betul. the part yang angkat tudung periuk. tak yah angkat-angkat le. dah masak baru angkat. untuk pecahkan nasi
setuju dengan lollies..masak pilav pun mcm tu.. tak yah angkat tudung..at least dlm 45 minutes lepas nasik masak....baru butir butir... (hey! i know the theories... but not the practical hehehe)..
my hubby 5 years as in rasanya setahun ke 2 tahun ker rasanya ada classes.. lectures..written exam etc..etc.. the rest 3 years for doing thesis kot.. tak ingat... or was it... 1 year lecture..4 years thesis?..rasanya the second one kot... but that one year thesis saja extend sebab like i said nak postponekan the compulsory military service (dont get married to a guy yg belum buat military service!!)..
his major is knowledge management..it used to be labour economics..but somehow it became knowledge management hehehe..now he is more into human resource management...apa apa la..u r in economics kan? which specific branch?
p.s...abis thesis nanti pi la rumah mak akak..heheheh pi mandi bunga hahahaha.....yup..she is one of those nogori yg pandai memandikan orang..(jangan marah...saja nak sakat orang tengah tensen buat thesis ni) whatever u do... DONT BE LAZY!!!! :0)

I've this bad habit of jengok2 & kacau2 whatever is cooking then ketuk2 the sudip/senduk on the kuali or periuk. So, mak & sis will be saying again & again, "Toksah nak heboh bagitau kau yang masak..." heheheh
My late dad really like it on the seldom occasion I cooked rice -jadi nasi lembik coz lebih air & byk kacau!
When I tried cooking something, he will just enjoyed it while mak & the rest will 'tak lalu makan'!
Sedih la...I rber the time he specifically asked me to masak something & I'll be like, "mana mak & sis ni...Help!"

Me too - first 2 years for coursework ie classes followed by 3 comprehensive exams (ala American uni). So, that means I've working on my research the last 1 1/2 years..
Major in Econometrics - alah, adalah part ekonomi sikit (never been easy for me), math byk (Ceh! ingat lagi integral & differentiation in calculus dulu tu? Myk fehning...saya kan dah tua) plus statistics (my fav coz I taught this subject in college before)& looks like I need to know a lil' bit of programming language too for now.
So, your hubby is attach to which uni? Ajak dia buat sabbatical & buat kat Mehsia la! Heheheh
What mandi munga? Hmm, you're like my mom too...
