P/s: At last, I can breathe in lil' bit easier today - after meeting my main advisor. She said (in not so many words), I've to blow my own trumpet (Malay's masuk bakul kasi angkat sendiri la)! Rehearse again and again my own speech of Contributions towards the Literature, so that when 'people' ask then I can go rapid fire....don't give them a chance to refute my arguments!
Next, paper due on 20th, present at the end of the month.

Lovers' Tiff
If you’re my family and friends then you should know better that I usually go to bed early (early to rise too which makes me healthy, wealthy and wise - hehe!) and never ever pick up calls from unknown numbers.
So, when my deep (Rapid Eye Movement? sure wasn’t dreaming yet) sleep was awaken by jarring ringing phone at almost midnight – check the number on screen- I couldn’t be bothered to answer the call(s) at all. But the person (from up North) was so intent to get to me that he eventually send a message (by this time I was wide awake) asking something like, “Is my wife there?”
Er…..his wife is my housemate who is getting ready to move out of the house at the end of this month. They’ve been building up their own love nest together for the past few weeks (recently married, weekend couple). I don’t even know whether the wife was sleeping here or there (at their new place).
My cepat-melatah-mind was thinking, “Depa gaduh ka?”
After more calls and messages plus checking outside, we established the facts that - yes, the wife was in the house, and her battery was KO-ed. Heheh!

I was in my first class the other day – am still nervous when it come to meeting new students/people. I’d already plan my lessons, prepare part of the exam questions etc. last week. This time around, I aim to do better – so I started the day’s lesson with a story before moving straight into Chapter 1 - basic concepts in Economics. To introduce Chapter 2 on demand and supply, I asked for 2 volunteers – I’ve in mind a market scenario with buyer and seller bargaining for a product. Alas, the terpaksa-volunteer buyer (male - what do we expect?) don’t how to bargain at all while the seller was quite happy with only 10 bucks (!?) for ‘a magic pen which can determine 10 correct MCQs’ answers in exam and guaranteed you an A!!! Another attempt to sell the latest and hottest DVDs went haywire – one of them said (*sigh* like a true Ah Long) why buy pirated copies when you can download everything from the Net? Last resort, to sell a laptop – the targeted buyer simply said, “I don’t want to buy (demand means not only wants for a product but willingness to pay)!” My point was exactly how the bargaining process (very much like at any Pasar Malam or Petaling Street) reflect the market's price mechanism which eventually converges upon an equilibrium price and quantity, i.e. the so-called invisible hand.
Maybe I forgot that they’re after all Engineering students, not drama students. And one of them called me, “Madam!” Hahahah…talk about generation gap. Next cls, perhaps I’ll let them choose from this list – Cik, Puan, Cik Puan (perasan!), Miss, Ms., or Teacher!

Aerobic Instructor’s Message
Eat NOT lots of local fruits like rambutan, manggis and mata kucing (durian is big NO-NO!) – too sugary and bergetah (this is new to me) – that’s why batuk. Eat apples, pears, or oranges instead…

More on DIO
I was stunned where K.LiL’s mak kissed my cheeks and hug me after solat @DI– Awwwwww, syahdunya (again, we don’t have this extra show of affection in my family – the most we do is salam and cium tangan – imagine if I were to apply it to mak – sure, “Apo kono eh kau ni? Buang tebiat ko apo?”…. I mean that was beyond the common sua pipi kiri dan kanan and hug2x among friends esp. teman seusrah.
Itu saya..imagine pulak kalau kita yang peluk cium anak2 yatim tu....(tapi tak bolehlah semua coz kalau sudah akil baligh -haram jadinya)

Pb or (was it Onde-onde?) told me why there're very few bloggers around. One, it was Sunday/Saturday - a day reserved for family and extended family (ipar duai all included) related activities.
Two, majority of bloggers (at least those in Abe Id's comment box) are female (I might be wrong here) and the husband doesn't know about the wife's extra-curricular activities at the office! Makcik2 bloggers included. Imagine, those who blog secretively telling their own spouses, "Let's go to a bloggers' meet this weekend." Er, what's blog dear?

Saturday @6pm, 8tv
I seldomly sit down and watch that idiot box. Esp. since Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewifes completed its seasons...But, I got to go to pasar malam very early on every Saturday so dinner of hot Kue Teow Sup Utara is best enjoy in front of the box. Previously, there was this Japanese serial called Engine - Moving Rubbers. I liked it because it's about car-racing (not F1) and relationships in an orphanage. Balik kampung - I missed the finale!
For the past 2 weeks however, there is this new Japanese serial - 1 Litre of Tears (Ichi Rittoru no Namida, 2005) .
It is based on a true story, a young girl, Aya's own diary, who suffered from Spinocerebellar Degeneration. I don't wanna spoil your interest (it's really heart rending to me) but do watch out for that one hour slot! Else you can refer here:

http://blog.orgday.org/2006/03/06/1-litre-of-tears-all-episodes-gallery/
It helps that the heroin and hero are cute 'n young people. But I'm more interested at the end of the show which shows pictures of the real Aya's slow deterioration...
AZ, if you're reading this - I read that the diary has been published and well received in Japan. Has it been translated?

Hello Madam, how are you?
Enjoyed reading about your 'bargaining sessions', ha ha. Pasar malam style, huh?
Talking about late night phone calls, we get calls at 3am and a "guess who"?
Pukul tiga pagi and "guess who"?
Its a relative who can never remember the time difference between Canada and KL, 12 hours! "Its me, what you guys doing"?
Me, "sleeping"! "You what time, sleeping"? Me, "3AM"!
Then its silence, "alamak, solly ahh, solly".
Cheeee!
Ada once a man at 1am, "is Judy there"? Me sleeping, "who"? "Judy". I don't know who the heck is Judy so just replied, "she's sleeping next to me". Ha ha ha. UL.
i pun paling malas nak angkat unknown number. kalau malam i akan biarkan je berbunyi. kalau ringing kat 1 lg no, which is sikit sgt tahu no tu memang tak angkat langsung walaupun siang. hehehe
baguslah u boleh tidur awal, i ni je yg almost every night jd burung hantu. eeeiii nnt lagi cepat le nampak tua gamaknya.
u dah keluar dari 'kepompong' u ye? so far 2 org je blogger yg pernah i jumpa. itupun selepas membuat pertimbangan sewajarnya.. :)
ondeonde,
Yes, I'm rad & I rock!! (Hek eleh...perasan je lebih)
Sebeno2nya saya rasa amat malu utk beramah-mesra dgn org2 & adik2 yang baru dikenali tp tolak tepi sat perasaan masa tu..peluang bukan selalu ye tak?
EH, boleh aje kita jumpa2 lagi, rasa nak makan onde2 lah! LOL
simah,
Nak buat camna klu u dah jeles...Heheheh (purposedly n intentionally provokasi ni). You know what - masa makan tu I ingat kat you...mesti best klu hatice n baddin dpt turut serta masa tu! And they'll learn somethg too.
UL,
You're so cruel - imagine what went on the mind of that guy who is looking for Judy - she's sleeping with another guy already?! Huwaaa!!! I wonder what happen when he meets Judy afterward...heheheh
darling,
All I know kan, sapa2 yg ada 2 phones ni mesti femes giler n ada secret affairs (my bro who married twice & before the secret was out)!
In your case, apa pulak ye? Satu company bagi ke?
Ha, tau pun cepat tua klu tido lewat atau tak cukup - klu nak awet muda mcm saya (ahaks!) kenalah tido awal, cukup 8jam, jgn kipas laju, phone silent, n doa (kot2 tak bangun langsung pulak!).
I tunggu jugak kat DI tu kot2 dpt jumpa you ke...takde rezeki. Maybe kita boleh jumpa sum other time? Mau ka? (you buatlah pertimbangan buruk baik I ni dulu)
From my experience so far, all bloggers that I've met are good people - memanglah ada quirks or some flirtings but all done in good taste n innocently. Depa semua responsible people, care about their loved ones - spouses n kids, percaya & ingat Tuhan (irrespective of religions), mahu buat kebaikan & kebajikan, blahblah. Just read the memes & you'll find prove of what I've said!
hehehehehe... i bkn femes pun.. errr secret affairs? maybe yes maybe not hehehe.. my 2nd no, only family members & yg betul2 close dengan i je yg tahu. even baby & 'dia" pun tak tahu 2nd no tu :)
memula mmg teringin nak join tp disebabkan i tak cukup yakin nak jumpa bloggers (ramai2) so i x dtg le. eh eh bukan u tahu i pun kalau i gi beb.. :) jumpa U? insya'allah boleh (rasa dah abis timbang dah pun) err u yakin ke nak jumpa i yg sewel ni? hehehe
Don't worry. I am okie with your link. Loved the drama very much too. Try Song to the Sun. Not bad too but not as good as 1 litre of tears.
darling,
I jz wonder - so u kuar rumah bawaklah dua2 phone dlm hbag? What if both rang at the same time? Depan baby or dia?
Waduh!! Boleh pecah perang dunia ke-3 tu!
Lah, rugi je u tak dtg meramaikan majlis - itu bukan perjumpaan blogger dlm erti kata yg sebenar pun coz the aim was to be there for the kids.
Rasanya, I yakin dah nak jumpa you (nanti2lah eh). hehehehe. Bukan u je yg sewel. simah pun kata i sewel! Hahahah
peppermintgreentea,
Yeah, I've been crying every saturday evening at 6pm onwards for the past 3 weeks - in front of the tele! And I do feel stupid...but the show was so *speechless*.
i memang bawak dua2 hp. 2nd hp jarang sangat bunyi sbb org tertentu je tahu. kalau yg 1st no tu off baru 2nd tu berbunyi.. baby & dia tahu i ada 2 hp/no. lagipun i jarang sangat off hp.
wah yakin dah ek? i'm waiting ok. u sewel also? baguslah mcm tu so i'm not alone... hehehe
darling,
Kasi I abis 'T' dulu ok - pastu I sure carik you! Rasa mcm nak jugak tngok you berkaraoke - tak pernah lah masuk Red Box ke hape ke...Er, lagu rock kapak ok? Def Gab C? Ekamatra? Ahaks!
so dah habis "T" dah ni. bila lagi beb? err tengok i berkaraoke? wow! i'm not a singer. i menjadikan lagu tu sumbang, ada le hehehe.
kalau u nak i nyanyi lagu search pun ok. never try def gab c & ekamatra. sbb ekamatra tu a bit slow.. tp kalau special request from u, i will try :)
but i suka lagu; pasti - mega, skesta sebuah cinta - may, reality & fantasy - crossfire, xpdc. tu diantaranya le.
