Entry Wajib: Pre- & Post-Eid plus everything in between

Baca paper, ramai yang kata (esp. in Middle East) Lailatul Qadar mlmnya...bagaimana pencarian anda?
Sebelum buluh dibakar menjadi lemang... Jang o Jang, bilo laie kau nak tobang buluh? Ari dah meninggi...paneh nanti! Ah, Omak ni....boli yolah kek kodai tu.
Sebelum daun maman menjadi rendang maman dengan ayam kampung... Dulu, rm3-4 sekilo -lani rm5-6 dah! Mak tanam sendiri laa...

Sebelum pulut menjadi tapai...

Sebelum daging menjadi rendang...
Sempat lagi buka short-kelas untuk bakal doktor in the family..."Ini jantung. Ha, nampak tak ada two chambers? Tengok, sure lembu ni tak diet (instead of makan rumput dia diberi makan pre-mix apantah) - lemak tebal sungguh! Kalau kita pun tak diet, jadi gini jugak lah..."
Ah Nga (in-charged of 80 sembelihan a day) tak merajuk lagi so, "Berapa kilo mak nak daging? Tulang? Perut?" Ah, percuma semua tu!

Pelita Ramadhan untuk menerangi jalan pulang...

This particularly famous-in-the-family cake (as proved in gone-in-one-serving) was baked on demand. Nothing spectacular about the moist choc taste except that I allowed the kiddy-chefs (boys n gals all) leeway in the kitchen up to the deco stage. Of coz, I helped with the icing n 'writing' part - they said, "Tak acilah, huruf R besar - mentang2 nama..."

SIL #4 was trying to bring me to her World of Beads - "kasi baju maksu, kita buat kan" but I said NO - mana boleh masuk washing machine kan?

I've got an excellent idea -even if I say so myself- let's have a competition of the most beautiful picture-composition of kuih raya! Thus, the exhibits! Tell me what u think.

BTW, that kemetot guy above? He CAN'T read yet & nobody asked him to pose specifically for me.

Sabar je la budak2 ni - the hensem tall guy in oren suit is only 11yo - nenek (jiran sebelah) tengah kira duit syiling tu. They don't care, even 50sen pun - duit is still duit raya & the amount accumulated. Financial savvy, aren't they?

On the 3rd day, mulut cabul rad telah berkata (somebody gotta work in town), "kalau jumpa mana2 open house tu, jgn lupa tapau sate ke, apa ke, utk org kek rumah..." BIL brought home sate kajang n stuff for his wife's 36th besday cum Aina's 1st which we already celebrated in earlier Iftar Jamaei (a Secret Recipe cake - both kenot challenge my above cake tau).

Grumbled I might be, but the filial duty remain utmost priority. A 2nd visit to ayah's final resting place on the 3rd day of Eid - compromised on the fact that mak can't walk that far esp. with Day 1's heavy traffic.

Water of life! Ironically, the lalangs were all dead. Still at the cemetary #3.

simah,
Thanks.
I hope you enjoy looking at the pic - bukan den nak eksyen tau!

Anon,
Still not too late to say Salam Syawal to you yg jauh di rantau kan? Tinggalkanlah nama bila dtg 'rumah' saya lagi..there're lotsa other pic but I don't wanna be SS - SYIOK SENDIRI kata orang.
Let me know if there're other raya-kind of pic that you miss - I might be able to come up with something insyaAllah. Kesian you yg jauh nun ( I was there long ago...I cried, I pleaded...then only my family send me their RAYA & family-group photos. At that time, mana wujud lagi digicam. Even I had to borrow camera from a fren. Poor student's life...
