....

**While our Dear Opposition was tinkering with drums (eh?) and kompangs and sang songs!! (Naper – hang ingat ini AF ka? Awat tak panggil je pancaragam sekali?)
Henceforth, I officially declare that this is a non-apolitical blog!!
___
There all sorts of roles for every supporters from the young to the old, males and females. I noticed the guys who distributed the drinks to the many who came out for a show of supports– they’re thoughtful with regards to the policemen whom I think were stupid enough to decline offers of drink on a hot morning. Perhaps there is a rule somewhere in a book stating,
“O thee policemen, accept not any drinks from the public so that they might not corrupt you..” (unless you’re corrupt enough so as to ‘steal’ (by accepting bribery) from the public).
**I wasn’t offered a drink at all –I think I was being ‘discriminate’ at since I was standing on the men's side while the women were mostly segregated in the middle together with the kids.

There were some who distributed the banner, those who went around and collected the rubbish (importance this is for the mountains of trash that usually left behind after any gathering), for many - the fashion statement of the day was of course – wearing the color of green!!, ladies who went around in small groups to reach the public spectators by giving handouts (election manifesto), the kids who were accessorised with small umbrella as head-cover asides from flags, the old man who took care of parking (to prevent ppl from double park and later cause troubles to others - he said), the flag bearers (the scene reminds me of the battle-royal scene in Braveheart!!! With one end of the stadium barricaded with endless rows of flying flags of green and the other end of blue,
Let the battle begins!! (background music: insert battle cry from the movie here)

**If the policemen weren't in place, imagine what a little provocation to either sides can do to the peaceful gathering!

I pity the policemen who were only doing their jobs. They must have been standing around since before 8am (myself - sempat pulak pergi jogging dulu, gi pasar, buy breakfast, rescue a kitty (with my housemate) – alls in a day’s work!). The penamaan calon lasted from 9-10am followed closely by the tempoh bantahan 10-11am. It was a sunny day so they gathered around the track, trying to get some shade of protection, under the tree shadows. Then, the big-shot came around on an inspection-round so back they went standing straight on the line. The crowd was dispersed only around 12.30pm (as I was typing this entry).

**My eyes were wide open – cudn't help from ogling the men in uniform! They must have been from a special unit or something coz normally the one that I saw on the street wasn’t such an eye-candy. Bad rad.

My only complaint so far, why can't the 3 parties join forces – form an alliance – like what the opposition do? The show of solidarity regardless of religious background, immaterial of racial stand or socio-economical position would enable us to become stronger than ever!
United we stand!!
