To Let/For Rent

Lets have some mumbo-jumbo first:

The indecisiveness of everyone (including me)
Ok, dis morning I officially informed my honourable landlord (policeman you!) about me & Lisa moving out in a month’s time–kasi notice gitu. So, he asked me to put up the above notice (entry's title) on the window pane. (Ah, glamer pulak dah!) Followed immediately afterward, the same sms-notice, to previous tenant (a fren) who perhaps would like to move back in.

Dat’s the least of my worry actually.

Not long afterward, he counter-offered me. Stay in the house for less rental. Meaning we need not worry about the empty room. Hmmm…

Now, Lisa has got another job offer. She cannot make up her mind yet. If she were to take that job, definitely she has to move out. And she needs to give 1-month notice at the current work place. Her Abe said, “it’s up to you.” I said, “Gaji mcm mana?” Oh no – she’ll be getting less but then there’re lotsa perks thrown in too..Hmmm..

Me – I’m supposed to move out long, long ago – as in last year! Then Dec, next Jan, after that Feb & now March – I dare not put up a fixed date for my completion due to the ‘munafik’ factor – cakap xserupa bikin, malu weh!

To make things more interesting, r’ber I post an entry about my ex-schoolmate’s mother passed away in Nov last year? Innalillah…her father soon followed in the mother footsteps – late last month (selalukan klu dua jiwa yg sgt rapat, klu sorang pergi akan dituruti). So, now she’s staying alone in the large family house as the other siblings are all settled down elsewhere. Where do I come into the picture? Yes, my wide open-mouth again. When she asked me to temankan in the house, my immediate reaction was, “Yes-yes!” If you know me by now, I tend to do that a lot – open my mouth before I think things throughly. Had a difficulty to say no too often times. I was already ‘presented’ to her sis for approval earlier dis week & finally being fully endorsed by her (the sis) since we got to talk about my thesis (short story: she’s done that). Minus factor – I’ve to cover a longer distance, really need to avoid morning& evening traffic jams & ada tol. Plus factor – I don’t have to pay rent, there’re cats some more& this is where I’m supposed to ‘tumpang’ in the near future in between my travels & unsettled business – kok iyo lah…Hmmm..

Balik kpg is out of the equation – coz I’ll have to worry about mak worrying abt me!

If only my T is over & done with…I’ll just answer to ‘panggilan pulau’!

Which brings us to academic matters:
1. Say NO to plagiarism, say NO to cheating in exam. Aiya - what were you thinking? To cheat in comprehensive exam? Pity you…but there’s no way to help.
2. Since dis week is the school break, the most important person dat I need to consult with isn’t around – nope, the prof isn’t on my committee.
3. I thot I’m making significant progress…towards dat final draft only to be told to check on dis lil’ something which basically means running regressions (again). To tinker with data *sigh*– Argggghhhhhhhhhh! Wat to do lor…
4. I re-learn the meaning of PERFECTIONIST.

Somebody asked me about that mamat rahsia in my life. Hahahaha….so lemme tell you about my ‘kawan-kawan lelaki’ (no longer Frog Princes coz I’m a changed person now r’ber?):
1. I apologized (everybody is apologizing nowadays, Cl*nton did it, Ob*ma did it, all except Mesian politicians – hoh!) to the guy who supposedly knew me for the past 20years (but we’ve never met…). We’re now frens – smses each other about the GE & such. Oh, BTW he’s getting engaged dis month.
2. My supposedly junior guy who never fail to msg me from time to time will be having his viva dis month – he promises to help me later in my relocation up-north. I guess we’re now frens too.
3. Then, there’re dis other ‘fren too’…whatever have I gotten myself into?!

Home front:
1. Somebody got a new MPV – first time buying new car (he, aged 40), “Huh, bukan Honda (bengang je muka member)?” He said, klu dulu pantang mengalah je (see, from whom I learn dis kinda behaviour on the road?) lani asyik2 give way to other vehicles on the road – takut calar tuuuu!
2. Somebody said her thesis has been accepted & passed. Wah, so quick ah? I’m proud of her but more than a lil’ bit jeles lah…syukur sudah mesti coz she’ll be getting her degree finally!
3. Somebody has scratched her MAV’s along 1 whole door due to very poor judgement of the concept of width. *Slapownforeheadagain&again*
4. Somebody with SPM result out yday – I totally forgot! Yelah, sibuk follow-up GE kan. No use to cry over spilt milk lah kan…try harder next level! Lagipun, tak semestinya nak berjaya dlm hidup kena ada kertas sijil segala…Tengok B.G*ates tu, sape tu yg built Apple…E*nstein pun.

And what did I do last night?
Thx to Laila, I had to opportunity to see (as in not face-to-face lah) another femes blogger life in-action at dis forum organized by Str*tegic Info & Resource Devt Centre @ Ch*nese Assembly Hall, KL - Ke mana M'sia? Analisa Kep*tusan PRU-12. Other panelists included one from Parti Gerakan (all the way from PP, they handle losing graciously) & Ibrah*m S*ffian from M*rdeka Centre with lotsa interesting figures. I won't bother you now with the issues discussed as it has been covered again & again by whole lots of others…Go read M.2day or M.kini NOT MSM! & once I start ...

Of coz, I’ve met other bloggers before – the like of Ahkak ku & Abe Id, Umi, Pb, Onde2 & Banji – but dis one is one of the socio-political blogger tau! Kena pulak dgn current PRU-12 scenario…PANAZZZ!!!

Man, he really could control the crowd! Had all of us in stitches! Making fun of himself (always) & of others too- Wow!
