Robocop Weekend

Er, it’s robocon actually. Pencarian govinda (What & why govinda? Maybe bcoz world final gonna be in India?) berakhir pada game #83!
Yeah!! Penyokong2 yg ala2 liga bolasepak! Gegak gumpita dewan...

Govinda dicapai apabila the only one bata kuning (12 points - right in the middle of the pic below) serta 2 bata putih (6 points each) utk kedua2 pihak (league system) berjaya diangkat/ditawan oleh robot automatic sesebuah pasukan. Sure look easy…but it’s not!
Even the manual robot had difficulty to pick & rearrange the cheese-balls (3 points each- nak je rasanya pick up dgn tangan). Our technology is lagging way behind… BTW, my fren's dean-hubby's anak didik's team -didn't make it for the final!
Special performance- ‘houdini’ side-show during the break.

Dr. Chermin
R'ber the crack on mav's face? Based on my fren's recommendation, I went for repair @Dr. Chermin - she literally googled & found out about Windscreen Doctor@ nearest branch, Seri Serdang.
This is the post-repair pic, notice the very fine line starting on top of the left corner (ignored the amateurish-looking photog).

To be compared with pre-repair stage:

1. I was told that it's a good idea to cellotape the crack from the outside in order to prevent foreign particles to get inside the crack & thus lead to further damage. So cellotape tu bukan utk tahan cermin drp pecah ye!
2. Initial crack was a reverse J-shape. I dilly-dallied for almost a week till it turns to S-shape. The longer the crack line, the higher is your repair cost - mine is RM100 (after discount, with 1yr warranty, rm50 voucher) for a 7-inches crack-line!
3. At the end of the day, you still need to replace the screen. The warranty just covers the possibility that the crack line extents further.
4. Windscreen insurance - Yeah, I've taken it before for a couple of years but then some kind-hearted soul told me that it serves no purpose since if you use it then your NCD will be affected as well (part of cost-cutting measures) - wrong advice dude!
Changes at the library.
Nowadays, checking out books using bulky scanning machine very much unlike those of supermarket checkout counter. Coming up in future (next sem), returning books by book-drops only. Wow-wow! Man-obsolete versus machine (Finnish technology)…
The library is really an interesting & happening place…like I came across Dato’ Rah*m Razali (on the eve of the recent Anugerah Skr*n – what to do? Pandang je lah..) – he’s having a shooting of legal drama at the moot court downstairs.
Go on a low-activity weekend, you’ll find the (bored pokcik2) librarians will be so eager to chat you up…
