..unacceptable for Malaysia's premier university?

Fri, 6th Oct - ...has supplanted XM as the country’s highest ranked university in the latest survey conducted on world university rankings.

Muahahahahahah
It feels good to have the last laugh.
Did you read the news yday?
We beat XM in terms of ranking of top world uni. Ada apa dgn ranking, you might say?

A lot, I tell you.
Let’s start when I was a way-too-young lecturer going into a lecture/class. My superior kindly warned me, “just bluff you way through”. Remember, we’re talking abt a private college here, mostly Chinese and Indian students, plus smattering of foreign ones–rich lots!
One of them dared to ask in such a condescending way, “You graduated from UXM ke?”
Ceh! Berani depa nak perlekehkan aku?
Looking back (not in anger now) I realized that they’re only voicing out the common error of thinking as prevalent until now that my current uni is the kampong one! You know, cannot speak good Ingleesh, kurung & tudung, all Malays blahblah…
Cannot blame them much since even among the Malays, the same attitude prevails..
Of course, I surprised them lot when I open my big mouth….difficult assignments & will-not-easily-give-you-an-A-reputation notwithstanding!
(sounds cruel yes but one of them more than make it for the external exam (UK board) so I would say it was all for good…)

I also have this inferiority complex – doing it here means I’m not as good as those doing it out there…(even the Kiwi-land & Down Under cannot beat doing it at our ‘colonial master’ & the Police of the World). It doesn't help that my prev uni wasn’t Cambridge or Harvard! Nor was I in the Dean's List ever!

See, I'm not that brilliant nor clever. I'm where I'm today because of takdir..masyaAllah!

You're rite of coz but then when ur dean started to talk about wanting only the best blahblah...(when it comes to sending new tutors overseas), you cannot help it - you'll feel very small, insignificant indeed...
Wa speaking tak berabuk jugak tapi berterabur ada la!
Leceh la, Melayu salah, omputeh pun salah...
