If I have kids..

.. I’m going to name them (notice the non-singular subject/pronoun used here? Purely subconscious & wishful thinking of my mind eh?) something like Ain, Abu Bakar, Asma’, Adlan or Ahmad something (never starting with Noor- or Mohd- coz the list is endless). This is because I’m not entirely patient person. Eons ago, I usually dreaded waiting for my name to be called upon (it never come across my mind to volunteer for anything – you see, I’m shy.. heheh) by teachers in schools. Usually by the time it’s my turn somehow I would have forgotten the answers or whatever. Of course, teachers know their student inside & outside. They knew that I knew (?) thus I’ll be called upon at the very last (time & again) to give a definite answer (chewah!) to otherwise yet another-unanswerable questions/tasks (ye ke?).

So, it becomes no surprise that I’m ecstatic to this first-name and surname@family-name business in the Western world. By right, I’m now Ms.A instead of Ms.Rad. Happy eh?!
But what happen now had scared me shitless (for the first time ever since I’m new into this discussant business) - the conference organizer had come up with this novel idea of getting discussants for every paper simply by using the participants name-list arranged according to the surnames. Thus my slot is going to be the first slot – first session & first day. I die lor….

What do I know about Vietnam (my intended paper-to-be-discuss)? All my research (again the plural ..encompassing current and future I hope…) are based on Malaysian scenario & I read mostly literature from developed countries like UK, Japan, US, Europe and developing countries like Indonesia, Brazil, Mexico or the Asian Tigers. Aside having to prepare for my own paper presentation, now I’ll have to brush up my knowledge on this Vietnam business.

Er…I’ll be happy to stick to 'rad' anytime!

Haha! I'm glad my name starts with 'D'. If 'A', takut kena panggil dulu, if 'Z' pun takut cikgu tetiba terbalikkan nak start with 'Z'. Well, Ms A, r u ready for ur discussion?

I am a Z person and funny I like to behave like an A person. In school, I'll always make sure to be the first in everything. For 6 straight years in the elementary school, I was 1st in class. Not until I get to the boarding school, smart kids were there where the competiton was very stiff, surprised me when first time in life I was at no 10 (still no 1 but with zero at the back). heheh

Vietnam? I know something about Vietnam Roses, nahhh.. it doesn't help much!

Ms D,
Apa nama anak you? Tak A & tak Z kan? Sian la klu for gal..
Er, part discussion tu - tak tau nak ready tang mananya. Kena observe org lain dulu gamaknya.

Mr. A,
Well, I can really see you as an 'A' person. U're really 'berani mati' one! (based on blogs reading aje)

Wah, Vietnam pun dah familiar? They all punya manufacturing industries, ada byk foreign firms aka MNCs? Production structurenya lebih kpd export promotion ka import substitution? Govt policies towards open economy ie WTO, AFTA - liberal or protection of local firms? ...byk nak kena tau ni.
BTW, bukan taknak share no for facilitating further diskusi tapi saya ni berat mulut (ala2 emas dlm mulut) -payah nak ckp kat tepon!*wink*

Mr. Z-to-A,
Why ah guys are like that? Berani ke depan? One explaination perhaps, mak kata uri anak pompuan biasanya tanam bawah rmh manakala anak lelaki tanam kat depan laman. Relevant ke tu? I think our culture is such that ladies have to be sopan & pemalu, submissive-passive, angguk2 & geleng2...tapi itu dulu!

*Er, taknak mengaku kalah* Saya dulupun cuma Std 1 je dpt #7, pastu sapu bersih #1 til Std 6 - drp ada dua cls tau, merah & kuning! Pastu SRP 8As. SPM lak dpt As minus C6 for Add Math & C3s for PhysicChemBio (end up as economist konon). (A-Level lagi merudum hancus! so malas nak citer...hahahaha)

What Vietnam roses? Real roses?

Ms. N,
Biasalah kan, masuk bakul kena angkat sendiri. sape lagi ye tak?

Jgnlah sebut2 psl kena baham ni, masin mulut kak nanti...takuuuut!!

BTW, you're already helping - by being my online-friend! What more can I ask for? *Muah3x*

Vietnam roses is being dubbed for the health problems on the servicing American soldiers in Vietnam who were contacted with the STD, specifically Venereal Disease (VD) once the Vietnam War was ended.
