“I think each individual should be able to decide whether or not to wear a seat belt.” (Eg of ‘natural liberty’)
“Is that so?”

“If you don’t wear a seat belt, you’re putting your life at greater risk. You’re endangering your life, and you’re showing that aren’t responsibly minded in terms of those you love, in terms of those - like us – who depend on you. If you don’t wear you seat belt when you drive, it’s like you’re saying you’re willing to put yourself more at risk and you’re willing to put all of us who depend on you at more risk. What does this say about what you think about your life? And what does this say about what you think of us?”

I rest my case.
Replace ‘not-wearing-seat-belt’ with smoking, drinking, gambling, sexual promiscuity & any other life-endangering activities.

Natural liberty (the state of nature, one can do whatever one pleases without impediment)
vs
Civil liberty (a type of liberty when you leave the state of nature and form a commonwealth – a social contract)
